G7: a new Android tablet by Virgin

The shelves - and more particularly those under Android - seem to meet one big hit, at least on the level of the manufacturers and distributors. For this week, Virgin Megastore of the airports of Orly and Roissy have marketed G7, a shelf of Gpad mark under Android 2.1, posting a flagstone of seven inches of the resistive type (18 centimetres of diagonal).

Distributed by Itec in France, this product profits from tempting characteristics: a processor with 800 MHz, a memory flash of 4 extensible Go of 32 Go via a chart microSD, the assumption of responsibility of a large range of audio and video formats (until in 1080p) and an integrated camera of 1,3 mégapixel. Without having the functions of telephony of a Samsung Galaxy, G7, much cheaper, supports the network 3G for Web navigation through a dedicated dongle (sold in option).

Available to the price of 279 euros, Gpad G7 seems however less attractive than Archos 70 Internet Tablet under Froyo which, for less low price, integrates 8 Go of memory as well as a multipoint capacitive screen. A model 10 Gpad inches under Windows 7 is also proposed in the two Virgin stores.
