Google Pixel 3

Previous Pixel devices weren't great looking. This particular mobile is more functional than modern. More durable than thin. The Google Pixel 3 is the company's first contact in the race for the best mobiles like the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.

Remotely, and especially when you see photos of your phone, the Pixel 3 looks exactly like the Pixel 2. Take it, hold it and then you'll notice the difference.

The back is smooth, completely made of glass and almost soft to the touch. It has the finish of a brightly polished pebble and glides comfortably into your palm. Instead of putting a simple glass on the back, Google decided to split the top with the bottom of the glass, making the top part shiny and the bottom area matte.

I love the matte finish here, it is more easily perceived in the white and pink versions, as it reduces stains and adds to a part of the handle that often loses when instead of glass there is metal. But it makes the device very easy to hack.

This is another slippery phone, something that will be unknown to you especially if you come from a Pixel or Pixel 2 mobile, making the glass less resistant to falls. Switching to glass, however, allows Google to introduce Qi wireless charging and helps waterproof with IP68 water resistance.

A USB-C port is the only connection here, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack and the side has a SIM card slot. On the right side are the buttons that adjust the volume and the power button ( Power Botton ) which in my white version has a contrast in coloring, with this button having a light green color of mint.

In my opinion, when there are all the buttons on one side on a mobile phone, you may accidentally change the volume when you want to turn on the phone, which is not functional, which is why I prefer the lock switch to be on a separate side on its own.

Flip the phone over and you'll notice the biggest difference between this device and the Google Pixel 3 XL on the screen. In addition to being smaller (this device has a 5.5-inch screen, unlike the 6.3 inches of Pixel 3 XL), the Pixel 3 doesn't have the small deep notch on the screen. Instead, it has an 18:9 panel and a thinner border around than what was in the Pixel 2, making it much more modern and much better in the feel of the hand.

This is not an end-to-end monitor for the entire phone, as there are two speakers on the front of the phone, one of which is at the top of the screen and the other at the bottom. There are also two selfie cameras at the top of the mobile right and left of the speaker.

A 5.5-inch screen may sound too big if you're used to older Pixel models (which had 5-inch screens) or an iPhone (they usually have a 4.7-inch screen), but thanks to the thinner bezel, the Pixel 3 is almost the same overall size as these two phones. It is comfortable to use in one hand and small enough to slip into the pocket of a tight jeans or bag. I'd say it's the perfect size for a smartphone phone.
