Security cameras help to protect us in several ways, even when we're preoccupied during special occasions. The safety of our friends, family and property can't always be at the forefront of conscious thoughts. An unwelcome guest attended the wedding of a young couple in July of 2010. With everyone involved in the festivities, he managed to slip in with everyone thinking he was the guest of someone else. While the ceremony was just beginning, be blended into the crowd and made his to the gift box. Without showing interest in the large feast or any of the party goers, the wedding crasher made a show of dropping an envelope in the box.
Shortly after his first trip to the gift box, he made a return for another visit to the box. The second time with his jacket over his arm for cover, he broke the seal and took the money from the box. While ignoring the party and the other guests for the most part, the intruder made his may outside to his car to store the money in his vehicle. At this point he almost got away, but he wanted more and went back in to the wedding for more. This time, his target was the wedding gifts and no one noticed anything after his first trip for the cash. The wedding crasher patiently made his out to the car with most of the gifts without anyone guessing his true intentions.
It wasn't until near the end of the wedding when mother of the bride noticed that there were only a few checks in the gift box. She immediately brought this to every one's attention and the police were called. This is the surveillance system proved it's worth because the cameras had recorded everything. Police officers were able to retrieve the footage and get images of the unwanted guest shown on the local TV news and in the local newspapers, eventually leading to his arrest and conviction.
The happy couple's special day was almost ruined because of this thief's ability to take advantage of the distracted crowd. Everyone at the wedding was relieved because the security camera system was actually able to save the day. All the people who were supposed to be at the wedding can now fully appreciate the added security that a quality camera system brings.
