Facebook adopts the solution of purchase of virtual goods via Paypal

ayPal is interested in the virtual goods, a form of trade in full rise on the social networks (like Facebook) and the online games. This market takes the shape of accessories to personalize a misadventure, favours to progress more quickly in a play, gifts to be exchanged which, although not having any material existence, buy themselves with quite real money. The service of micropaiement announced to launch before the end of the autumn a service dedicated to their purchase: PayPal for DIGITAL Goods.

This solution makes it possible to the users to pay them in two clicks without having to leave the page which they are consulting. A simplicity of payment which corresponds well to this type of impulsive purchase, ensures Sam Shrauger, vice-president of the strategy produces PayPal, in an official statement. And which moreover facilitates the life of the Net surfers connecting itself since a mobile or a shelf with its simplified ergonomics.

This service has a cost: PayPal takes a commission of 5% of the paid sum, raised of 5 hundreds for any transaction lower than 12 dollars.

Facebook announced that PayPal for DIGITAL Goods will be proposed soon with its members to facilitate the purchase of the virtual goods. The social network proposes already a system of appropriations, to spend on plays or applications, which one can pay with a bank card, with prepaid cards, by the means of a PayPal account or with a mobile.
