Buying Tips For LCD TV Wall Mounts

When you buy a new LCD TV do not forget to have a look at the different wall and ceiling mounts that are available today. TV mounts have come a long way, bringing customers selections that are far more exciting than those provided when these display units first appeared in the stores. Like TV stands, the progress of wall mounts is impressive.

A number of manufactures will include a mounting set with their LCD televisions. Others do not, which means that you, the customer, will have to go out and purchase one. TV stands and mounts can be located in local stores or ordered from retailers online. Your TV is a big investment; therefore, do not skimp on the quality of your mount. In addition, take the following tips into consideration.

1. Determine if a standard mount will fit your TV. If it was built according to VESA standards (Video Electronics Standards Association), buy one of the mounts that are VESA compliant. You may have to do a little research to find an appropriate mount if your television has unusual dimensions.

2. Decide whether or not you want your LCD TV fixed against the wall, or if you want to be able to move it. Do you want the screen to be completely horizontal or tilted on an angle? If you watch movies and shows from different places in a room, you will need a mount with mobility - with or without a pivoting wall arm.

3. Keep in mind; the more elaborate and multi-functional mounts are, the deeper you will have to dig into your wallet.
