How To Clean Your Computer With Compressed Air

Many people might not realize this, but a computer really does need to be cleaned from time to time. One tool that you can use that will help you get your computer cleaned is a can of compressed air. Find out how you can clean your computer with this tool and make sure things are in proper working order.

You need to start off by shutting down the machine and unplugging it. If you have a laptop you need to take out the battery. You never want to have compressed air blowing in or around the computer when it's running as it can cause some problems.

Start off by unplugging the keyboard and turning it upside down. This will get out the junk that might be in it. Then use your compressed air and start to blow it around the keys. This will get all the dust, hair, food particles, and anything else out of the keyboard.

You then need to find the vents on your computer. This is where the air flows from the computer getting rid of the hot air that's inside of it. These get blocked with dust over time. Take the compressed air and start to dust out those vents. Watch your face as more dust will blow out of these holes that you will expect. Your laptop or desktop might have more than a few of these.

If you have a desktop, open up the side of the computer and dust everything out with the compressed air. Touch something metal before opening the computer as you want to get rid of any static charge that you might have. Use the compressed air around all the components especially where you can see dust.

Do this regularly from time to time. You don't want these vents backed up. If they do, you will run into heat issues. Heat will ruin your internal components and make things run slower. This cleaning process will make your computer last longer.
