Very Handy - Portable Solar Panels

Portable solar panels are proving to be extremely useful things as technology keeps improving. They are cheap and easy to build too. This makes assembling them a great weekend project for the entire family. While the small versions will not cut your electricity bill in half, they will serve a function should the electricity go out. Some panels are large enough to turn on a light, a computer, a TV, a frying pan for a short time, during the occasional power outage.

It has not always been so easy, previously anyone that wanted to make their own panels would have to purchase a plan and then go shopping for all of the components. Today however, portable solar panels can be found in a wide variety of kits with everything in them. The whole process of making these panels is really like child's play. You will need a few tools, you will need to be able to follow instructions, nothing more than putting together the kiddies bicycle and you are up and running. You will feel great when you turn on your TV and notice that it hasn't cost you one cent. You'll also find it handy when the power "Blacks out" and you don't need to fumble through the house for torches hopefully with batteries that have charge.

You can purchase solar panels to charge things like iPods, cell phones, radios. These small panels come ready to go and are small enough to transport in a pocket, or a hand bag. Back in the old days portable solar panels would be very slow to charge a battery. That has all changed today. Large steps forward in design and technology have rendered them much more efficient.

Let's not forget the green issue. The sun is pouring energy on earth daily. Let's harness it! Go Solar!
